My Design Process

Empathise

Understand who is the clients market demographic, who are they trying to reach? Who is the end user? What makes them tick?  Gather information.
People, not technology, are the drivers of innovation.

Define & Observe

Meet with client and discuss what the problem is they have that needs solving and what you want to help them do. Define a clear problem statement.

Visualise

Generate ideas and outline potential solutions. How will they be presented? Come up with different solutions that might be useful to people.
All ideas can be useful.

Create Protoype

Create a user flow and turn ideas into interactive mockups using Sketch and Invision. Take an iterative approach, and be prepared to repeat certain steps in the process as flaws and shortcomings in the early versions may become apparent

Test & Refine

Take prototypes to client audience and get feedback. Does the idea meet the clients need? Does it need to be changed based on others feedback?
Time and money can be saved going forwards if changes need to made at this stage.

Verify & Validate

Design solution meets the requirements of the brief and that it fulfils its intended purpose with the client and its users.
